The Black Hawk R/C Pilots welcomes new members. Club members must also be members of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA).

Prospective members are welcome at any Club meeting, Wednesday morning breakfast or any event listed on the Event Schedule. Call any of the Club Officers or email bhrcp@cfu.net for information on times that the Club flying field will be open. (The gate to the field is locked when Club members are not present.)
If you have never flown an R/C aircraft, contact the one of the Club Officers to find out which members are offering beginner flight training. Thursday evening is the usual training time at the flying field, but training may be suspended for inclement weather or windy conditions.
If you do not have an R/C aircraft, please contact one of the Club Officers for suggestions on beginner aircraft. There are limited retail outlets for R/C aircraft and equipment in the Waterloo area. Club members can also give you suggestions on retailers in Northeast Iowa and Online. If possible, contact us before you buy equipment and aircraft!
