Directions to Prairie Lake Park

From the East, West or South (Des Moines, Marshalltown, Ft. Dodge, Dubuque, Cedar Rapids)

Follow US highway 20 and take exit #224.  Go North on Hudson road and turn right at the second stop light onto Viking Road.  Go ¼ mile and turn right on the park entrance road.  Don't turn into the fisherman's parking lot that is right after the turn onto Viking Road.

From the North (Mason City, Waverly)

Follow US highways 27 & 58 (Avenue of the Saints) through Cedar Falls and turn right at the second stop light onto Viking Road (Wal-Mart & Blanes Farm & Fleet are on your left).  Go ¾ mile to the park entrance road.  The park entrance road is a left turn just after the road narrows from four-lanes to two-lanes.

The float fly is on the 25 acre South Lake, not the small North Lake.

Parking is next to the picnic shelter.
